Head of Wardrobe | Instructor
Ballet 5:8 Solo Artist Lorianne Barclay has served as Ballet 5:8's Costume Designer and Head of Wardrobe since 2014. Taught to sew from a very young age by her mother, she dabbled in formal wear for pleasure throughout high school only as a hobby. Lorianne earned a degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Additionally, she has worked in Pacific Northwest Ballet's Costume Shop under Victoria McFall and served as a costume designer for Trueheart Productions musical theater. Since taking over as Head of Wardrobe for Ballet 5:8 she has designed and constructed original costumes for dozens of ballets, including full-length ballets such as Scarlet, Belteshazzar, Beyond the Nutcracker, The Toymaker, and Love Is. Lorianne enjoys the unique opportunity of being involved in many facets of the Ballet 5:8 organization.
