Lorianne Barclay

Head of Wardrobe | Instructor

Ballet 5:8 Company Artist Lorianne Barclay has been serving as Ballet 5:8's Costume Designer and Head of Wardrobe since 2014. Taught to sew from a very young age by her mother, she dabbled in formal wear for pleasure throughout high school. Lorianne earned a degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. For three years she served as a costume designer for Trueheart Productions musical theater. Since taking over as Head of Wardrobe for Ballet 5:8 she has designed and constructed original costumes for over 10 ballets, including full-length ballets such as Belteshazzar, Beyond the Nutcracker and The Toymaker. Additionally, Lorianne has 10 years of experience in teaching ballet. Over the course of that time she has taught for both pre-professional schools as well as outreach programs that bring ballet to underprivileged youth. Lorianne enjoys the unique opportunity of being involved in many facets of the Ballet 5:8 organization.
