Miranda Rubio was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. She began dancing at age six at The Academy of the Arts under the direction of Lori Ladwig and later under the direction of Kate Price, where she trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary and modern. In 2015 she was given the opportunity to pursue a serious classical ballet education by joining Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts’ Conservatory Program, under the direction of Brette Benedict, Lauren Ader-Cumpston, and Julianna Slager. She is now entering her second year in Ballet 5:8’s Trainee Program. She is very excited to be sharing her love of dance and movement with her students this year.
