Biography

Rebecca Jones grew up dancing near her hometown of Sweet Home, Oregon. She began her professional training at the Corvallis Academy of Ballet. While there, she was invited to perform with Willamette Apprentice Ballet, a pre-professional branch of the Corvallis Academy of Ballet. She received additional summer intensive training at the University of Utah, Nutmeg Conservatory, and Oregon Ballet Theater. Rebecca earned her undergraduate degree at Mercyhurst University, studying both dance and arts administration. During her time at Mercyhurst, she enjoyed pursuing opportunities in teaching and choreography. Rebecca is excited to be a part of Ballet 5:8’s mission this year, both as an instructor and as a second company member.
