Meet the Instructor
Ballet 5:8 Company Artist Olivia Kruse was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She received her dance training at the New American Youth Ballet under artistic director, Beth McLeish. While at the New American Youth Ballet, she had the pleasure of performing George Balanchine’s Serenade and Valse Fantaisie. To further her training, she spent summers at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Ballet West. In 2014, she was given the opportunity to perform at the International Ballet Competition with the MidStates Region of Regional Dance America. After graduating high school, Olivia attended the University of Utah’s School of Dance and graduated with a BFA in Ballet and a BS in Psychology in Spring 2018. She has also spent the past two summers teaching at the New American Youth Ballet’s summer intensive.
