Financial Aid

One of the core aspects of the School of Ballet 5:8’s mission is to make the many benefits of dance education available to everyone in our communities, regardless of their background or financial situation. With funding from the many donors who support Ballet 5:8, our financial aid scholarship program makes tuition assistance available to dancers and families who are experiencing challenging financial circumstances.

Who Qualifies?

Financial aid recipients typically have a situation causing financial stress, such as job loss or low income. In order to qualify, applicants should also have a strong desire to learn about dance and work hard in their classes!

How Much Does Financial Aid Cover?

Financial aid typically covers up to 50% of tuition, but awards vary based on each individual situation. Financial aid does not cover fees or uniforms.

Are There Other Requirements?

Financial aid recipients are required to maintain consistent class attendance, and to abide by the rules for their program.

We recommend applying early for the best chance of getting your application approved. Applications can also be submitted after the deadline, but our ability to make awards after the deadline may be limited.
