Pre-Professional & Conservatory August Audition

The August audition is open to dancers ages 10 and older with intermediate or advanced experience in classical ballet. Placement in one of two available audition levels will be determined at the time of the audition.

Safety Procedures

Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts values the safety of each dancer at our studio! We are taking extra precautions right now to ensure that you will be able to stay safe and healthy while dancing in-person at Ballet 5:8 studios. We have implemented special hand washing, cleaning and social distancing procedures that are in effect until further notice. What to Expect

Due to safety restrictions, pre-registration is required for all dancers who wish to audition. Pre-registration can be completed online using the link below or by contacting us.

All persons entering Ballet 5:8 studios will be required to wear a mask. Dancers have the option of taking their mask off in the studios, where each dancer will be able to maintain at least six feet of distance from other dancers. Masks are required at all times in all other parts of the building.

Dancers are asked to wear their audition attire to the studios and refrain from changing in the restrooms.

The Ballet 5:8 lobby is temporarily closed due to Covid-19. Audition attendees may be accompanied by one adult who is welcome to stay in the lobby during the audition.

Attire

Female dancers should wear a solid black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes with hair in a classical ballet hairstyle. Dancers on pointe should bring their pointe shoes.

Male dancers should wear a white form-fitting shirt, black tights, and black or white socks and ballet shoes.
