Biography

Originally from Michigan, Selah discovered the joy of dance at a young age. She trained with Ballet Chelsea under Artistic Director Wendi DuBois from age four to eighteen. There she grew to love classical ballet and had the privilege to dance in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, and Giselle, as well as several original works by choreographers. Selah first became acquainted with Ballet 5:8 in 2020 when she attended their summer intensive, and returned for a second summer in 2021. After graduating high school, Selah joined Ballet 5:8’s Trainee Program. She currently teaches in the Youth Division and serves as a teacher’s assistant for the Pre-Professional Division.
