Introducing Featured Guest Elizabeth Marlin
We are thrilled to welcome Ballet 5:8 Company Artist Elizabeth Marlin as our first Featured Guest with the School of Ballet 5:8!
She will be sharing some exciting pro tips over the coming weeks that we know you won't want to miss. But first, let’s get to know Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Marlin grew up in eastern Pennsylvania, where she trained in her high school years under Trinette Singleton, Jennifer Haltzman Tracy, and Jennie Somogyi. She attended summer programs throughout high school at Pennsylvania Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (intensive and company experience), and American Ballet Theatre (collegiate intensive).
After graduating, she moved to Salt Lake City to dance as a trainee with Ballet West for two years. While there, Elizabeth had the opportunities to perform roles alongside the company in Giselle, Swan Lake, and The Nutcracker, as well as the principal roles in Lark Ascending, Viva Vivaldi, and Scherzo from Balanchine's Midsummer Night's Dream, along with numerous other family series performances and outreach shows. She has also guested in productions of The Nutcracker from Burley, Idaho to Fairbanks, Alaska and has danced as demonstrator for The Arpino Foundation’s Robert Joffrey Masterclass. She is beyond excited and extremely humbled to be dancing her first season as a Company Artist with Ballet 5:8.
