12yr+ Audition Class & Scholarship Awards | 1:30-3p, students who are studying en pointe should bring pointe shoes. Dancers will audition for the Pre-Professional and Conservatory programs, and will be considered for merit scholarships for the 24/25 season. New students interested in the program are required to audition. Current students will be considered for placement and for scholarships during their spring exams.

Featuring a captivating performance by the Studio Company of Ballet 5:8, you will be mesmerized as these talented dancers grace the stage, weaving tales of love, dreams, and inspiration through their artistry.

The Beyond the Nutcracker Tea is a sensory friendly event featuring low level music, flexible seating arrangements, and a quiet room for audience members who may need to take a break.

Fall Classes begin at School of Ballet 5:8’s newest satellite campus in Lakeview. Located at the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture, School of Ballet 5:8 will offer classes every Tuesday including Pre-Ballet, Elementary Ballet, Ballet 1A and Ballet 1B.

This original full-length ballet inspired by the story of the Prodigal Son features a cast of over 300 dancers from Ballet 5:8’s nationally-recognized classical ballet training programs, custom-designed costumes, dramatic classical music, and original choreography by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager. This powerful drama portrays the tender love and compassion of God as a father and is a treat for the entire family!
